I probably loved you more than I let on Gratitude and sympathy make a potent recipe Was I saving you? Were you saving me? Either way we were headed for misery But what advice would I give? Love's a tangled web Lord have mercy, mercy on the lovers who aspire to love everlasting To love everlasting I probably loved you more than I care to admit Cruel games and ugly lies made it all a compromise After all this time you're still on my mind What we had could have been so fine But what advice would I give? Love's a tangled web Lord have mercy, mercy on the lovers who aspire to love everlasting So hear me when I say to you I think there's only one thing you can do Hold onto your faith in love 'til the day you die It will lift you up, it will lift you up, it will lift you up higher Oh, but what advice would I give? Love's a tangled web Lord have mercy, mercy on the lovers who aspire to love everlasting To love everlasting

Remedy 03:03
Do-do-do-do... Love, love, love Love, love, love, don't let me fall Fear is my enemy, and money is my rival Gratitude is the remedy and love is my survival Hold me up, hold me high Don't let me fall One man's ceiling is another man's floor Some got enough but only want more I knew a man with money to burn He couldn't sleep at night, he would toss and turn Worried over the great unknown What if the roof falls in and the sky falls? What if I lose my wife my kids my house my job my life my soul? I know another man, don't have much to call his own Sleeps like a baby every night so sound Does good work, thinks good thoughts, says good words Says it's all gonna work out He's not worried over the great unknown What if the roof falls in and the sky falls? What if I lose my wife my kids my house my job my life my soul? Fear is my enemy and money is my rival Gratitude is the remedy and love is my survival Hold me up, hold me high, don't let me fall

The Broken 03:57
I am the broken I had it buried So deep I couldn't feel it I said I was on the top But I was on the bottom I tried to keep up with the healthy With their cheerful dispositions With the sun in their eyes They don't want to see the pain and suffering So they put on their sunglasses and drive I wanted to be one of them Not the broken not the helpless But it follows you where ever you go Breaks you down lower than you ever thought you'd go Girl bathing in the sink at the shopping mall Boy with haunted eyes stoned on the sidewalk no one to call Wounded man with his cardboard sign Woman picking through the trash for anything she can find Where there's a will let there be a way Stand up reach up find the words to say This is not how we are going down Where there is loss love can be found We are the broken I still want to believe we have the power to rise above Gather our strength until we're no longer On the outside looking in Forgive us we have sinned by thought word and deed By the time we reach the temple we will all be on our knees No easy answers, well I beg to disagree Compassion and willingness to lend a hand are all we need Come together people Come together, come together people

Glory 03:28
I walked out of the beautiful room cuz it was empty now and I tossed away the key and I thought of all the times that I had seen the hand of God played out before my eyes and I said I know now why the caged bird sings And I walked out to the shore of the shining water and I felt the hand of God on my shoulder I saw the sea birds high above me and I felt the smooth stones beneath my feet and all at once, all at once, all at once we were all singing Glory to the new day Hallelujah Time heals all things yes it does, yes it does Glory to the new day Hallelujah Time heals all things woah woah And I looked out of the beautiful room cuz it was empty now and I tossed away the key and I thought of all the times that I had seen the hand of God played out before my eyes and I said I know now why the caged bird Sings Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah

about

Four track EP featuring Gospel backing vocals and full band instrumentation.
These four songs are a preview of Courtney's upcoming seventh full length album, but these recordings will only appear in these musical arrangements on this EP. The album itself will most likely be somewhat stripped back from this bigger, looser, Gospel inspired sound.
The Spring 2017 Pre-Release was produced as a CD to accompany Courtney's March-April 2017 Europe tour and was initially only available at shows.
Surprise attention from indie radio and blogs in Europe, the UK, and now the US has prompted the digital release of these four tracks. Appreciated by fans and critics alike, this EP represents a moment in the evolving sound that is uniquely Courtney Yasmineh.
